Publication Ethic

Teaching and General Education Studies is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in publishing. The journal follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Responsibilities of Authors:

  • Authors must submit original work that has not been published or is not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Authors must properly cite all sources and give credit where it is due.

  • All authors must have significantly contributed to the research.

  • Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

  • Authors must ensure that research involving humans or animals has been conducted ethically, with necessary approvals.

Responsibilities of Editors:

  • Editors must make fair and unbiased decisions based solely on the quality and relevance of the manuscript.

  • Editors must ensure confidentiality throughout the review process.

  • Editors must act if ethical concerns are raised about a submitted or published manuscript.

Responsibilities of Reviewers:

  • Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not use information from manuscripts for personal advantage.

  • Reviewers must alert the editor if they suspect ethical issues, such as plagiarism or duplicate publication.

Handling of Misconduct:
If misconduct such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical research is suspected, the journal will:

  • Conduct an investigation following COPE guidelines.

  • Request a response from the authors.

  • Take necessary action, which may include rejection, retraction, correction, or banning authors from future submissions.

We believe that maintaining ethics is crucial to the credibility of academic publishing.
